Our Social Support service offers a place where community, culture, and companionship come together. Our service is dedicated to fostering friendships and supporting individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Social Support Groups are designed to provide opportunities for social interaction, helping members engage in activities and interests they love. Our spaces are inclusive, offering a welcoming environment to meet new friends and share meals and experiences.

Who it's for

If you’re older, living with a disability, and looking to enjoy outings and activities with like-minded people, our groups are for you. They also provide a chance for caregivers to take a well-deserved break.

Eligibility

Seniors over 65 yeas of age

Younger individuals, under 65, living with a disability or other vulnerability factors.

Experiencing other challenges living independently

How we help

We organise engaging group activities and outings that cater to your interests, providing a space to chat and enjoy the company of others. It’s more than just an activity—it’s about building lasting friendships.

Indoor activities.

We offer a place to come and do activities together such as art and craft or cooking.

Outings:

We organise our outings based on group feedback and interests.

Service areas

Our services are available to residents within the six Local Government Areas of Gippsland: Baw Baw, Latrobe, South Gippsland, Bass Coast, Wellington, and East Gippsland.
